Our Process
Chapter leadership reaches out to all candidates in a relevant race with a questionnaire reflecting our values and priorities. Leadership then makes a recommendation based off candidate responses. However, it is dues paying members who make the ultimate decision on whom the organization will endorse. Whichever candidate receives a majority of the vote (i.e. 50%+1) will be the DMV New Liberal choice in these upcoming and important elections.
In 2025, the DMV New Liberals endorsed Mike Austin for DC’s Ward 8 Councilmember.
